Early in the morning of 12th May we will be carrying out works to upgrade software running on dekker.d.faelix.net — our peering and transit router in Telehouse West. This is preemptive maintenance following from a previous incident that affected another router running a similar version of the routing software.
Prior to works we will shutdown BGP sessions to upstream and wholesale carriers; to LINX peering; and to downstream customers connected to the devices being upgraded. This will minimise any potential disruption to customers.
During the period 03:00 till 06:00 (UK local time) there may be a small number of short disruptions to layer-3 services passing through Telehouse West as routing reconverges at the start and end of the works.
