We're investigating a problem with upstream connectivity at our Geneva hosting facility.

We have received an update with reason for outage. In short: it was DNS!

You may have had difficulty accessing your Infomaniak services this Thursday between [12:15 and 13:30 UTC]

    What happened?

The security, confidentiality and integrity of the data are not affected by this event.

The cause of this incident is linked to a bug in a software update that affected Infomaniak's DNS zone, which disrupted all Infomaniak's services for 25 minutes.

Once the DNS zone was restored, the authentication service was requested by an unusual number of simultaneous connections, which may still slow down certain services such as Webmail or Manager.

Is there anything I need to do?

No action is required for managed services.

We are aware that a disruption of this magnitude can have a negative impact on your business and commitments.

This is not the level of service we are committed to and it will help to increase the reliability of our network. We would like to assure you that we are already doing our utmost to ensure that this does not happen again.

We regret any inconvenience caused and remain at your disposal.
