We have received notice that one of our upstream providers in Manchester will be performing hardware replacement and software updates:
"Following a recent Major Incident impacting a core router in Manchester, these works are to perform a hardware change and perform a vendor recommended operating system update to ensure future stability."
We will therefore be bringing the affected circuit out of service before their maintenance begins. Faelix is multi-homed to numerous separate upstream networks, so we anticipate no disruption to customer services during the provider's maintenance window.
